Earthquake in Northwest of Iran 1990

On 21st of June,1990,an earthquake occurred in Manjil-Rudbar,northwest of Iran,also known as the windy city of Iran.

It caused damages in areas that was within 100 kilometers radius of the epicenter near the City of Rasht,the capital of Gilan province in northwest of Iran.

The magnitude of the earthquake was 7.7 magnitude.

The earthquake killed 40,000 people,60,000 injured and 105,000 families homeless.

The government accepted all offers of aid,except from that of Israel and South Africa.But the government was criticized because of the foreign rescuer.

I think that they should made the buildings more stable than those that collapsed in the earthquake as the majority of the buildings are not very stable and did not allow people to escape and just collapsed like a pile of cards.I also feel that the people should be educate on how to escape during an earthquake.

Earthquake in Pakistan

On 29th October 2008,an earthquake hit the southwest part of Parkistan.

A report of the United States Geological Survey reported that the earthquake happened 60 km north of Quetta,the largest city and the provincial capital of the Balochistan which is Province of Pakistan,185km southeast of Afghanistan,landlocked country in South-central Asia,city of Kandahar,second largest city in Afghanistan and at a depth of 10km followed by another earthquake at a depth of 10km.

The magnitude of this earthquake is 6.4 magnitude.

215 people were comfirmed dead and the death toll may rise as more body are being discovered.Over 200 people were injured and destroying over 15000 homes,leaving120000 homeless.

The local government sent Pakistan military helicopters and troops to assess damages and aid victims.The Chief Minister of Balochistan ordered declaration of the emergency in the hospitals of areas that are affected by the landslides,which are caused by the earthquake.
I think that even though we can't stop the earthquake from happening,we could teach the people how to evacuate when there is an earthquake and to build more stable buildings so that when a earthquake occured, the people can evacuate and the building will not just collaps like a pile of cards trapping people in it and less people will lose their lives or injured themselves
